Releasing Projections Given & Received
Ah, the holidays. A time of gift-giving, returning to snowy hometowns, and…seeing our families. Maybe too much of our families.
Did you feel a twinge of stress just thinking about it?
Human beings are subject to projection - a defense mechanism that “attributes one’s own individual positive or negative characteristics, affects, and impulses to another person or group.” Perhaps you’ve had that experience - being put down or attacked due to a loved one’s unresolved inner conflicts, rather than for something you did.
But this road barrels in both directions. You can project onto others, too, based on your own unresolved (conscious or not) conflicts and needs. And in this storm - like movies being chaotically projected onto walls of beautiful art - the true nature and brilliance of the art (your loved ones, and yourself) becomes clouded.
But we have the potential to withdraw - and release - the projections that we’ve given, and received.
That is the focus of this healing ceremony.
In this evening gathering, you will embark on a guided shamanic journey into your Inner World - a special landscape within you. With the aid of a personal helping spirit, you will have the opportunity to:
Illuminate what projections you may be receiving - and putting onto others,
Understand how these projections might be impacting your unique health and relationships,
Work to unburden yourself from, and withdraw, undue projection with the aid of your spirit helper - offering yourself and others rich healing.
This healing ceremony is open to everyone - no prior experience necessary. You will have the space to share and ask questions, but verbal participation is not necessary, either - in fact, if you wish, you can attend with your camera off, sit back, and simply enjoy the (literal) journey.
As we clarify where projection is at play in our lives, we can work to regain personal balance, well-being, and sovereignty, and offer the same to others - a healing with the potential for quite a ripple effect. I warmly invite you to journey into this healing ripple with me.
