Advanced Shamanic Divination Training
“What is the proper next step?” “What is my purpose?” “Should I stay in this relationship or career?” “What do my departed loved ones have to say?”
This is only a small sampling of an infinite pool of questions that clients and practitioners alike ask the spirits in psychic and tarot readings, shamanic journeys, and beyond - all part of a sacred body of work known as divination.
Divination, as I see it, is actually a healing methodology - for although the shamanic practitioner does not actively “move energy around” within a client as they would in shamanic healing, divination - when done with good discipline - gifts ourselves and others vital insight, guidance, comfort, confirmation, and inspiration that we can one to gradually, or radically, change their lives.
In this advanced experiential training, which builds off of the introduction to divination from the Power of Shamanic Journeying workshop, you will discover further methods for channeling clear, accurate, and ethical shamanic readings for others.
Together, we will:
Briefly re-experience the basics of shamanic divination - including the “miraculous” simultaneous journeying method,
Meeting the being who is volunteering to aid you in your channeling - your personal divination helping spirit,
How to do readings on a range of specific complex question types, such as those related to healthcare, dying, relationships and abuse, and beyond,
The use of merging and voluntary, controlled, transcendent possession in mediumship,
Using physical tools and means, such as stones, natural objects, and even candy and the sense of smell in doing readings,
Understanding and navigating the inevitable message rejection and non-resonance in clients,
Safely connecting with the departed to channel comfort, healing, and (at long last) connection,
And so much more.
This hands-on training combines lecture, a number of experiential exercises in order to gain firsthand knowledge, the opportunity to both give and receive the taught forms of divination, multiple breaks per session, and question-and-answer periods, all in a space cultivated for warmth and community support and connection with like-minded persons. The content is tailored specifically for each group, so it is never exactly the same each time it is taught. Here, you have the freedom to experiment with what methods work for you in a judgement-free practice space. This course is appropriate both for new practitioners of shamanism and shamanic divination, as well as seasoned professionals of shamanic (and other forms of) divination wishing to refresh, reinvigorate, deepen, and expand their ethical and effective psychic reading and mediumship work.
Over a decade of real-world practice has shown me the incredible miracles of comfort, problem-solving, and healing that divination can provide, as well as some of the challenges that can come up for practitioners. As we connect with a population struggling to find answers to life’s most meaningful questions, we can prepare ourselves to be hollow bones for the answers that are so desperately needed to flow through and come to bear the lives of ourselves and those in our communities.

Prerequisite: Completion of The Power of Shamanic Journeying | Beginning Workshop with me, a beginning journeying workshop with an authorized ShamanicTeachers.com or FSS instructor, or a close equivalent (please contact me with any prerequisite fulfillment questions).
Dates & Times: August 6, 13, 20, and 27, 2026 | 4:30-6:30pm PT / 7:30-9:30pm ET each session.
Please note that this advanced training will not be recorded. One no-additional-cost make-up session is available to each student, should they need to miss a session. Further make-up sessions can be arranged if necessary.
Location: Live online via Zoom.
What to Bring: An audio- and video-enabled device to attend sessions on (for quality purposes, cameras must remain ON during the program), something to cover your eyes with (such as a sleep mask or bandana), a handheld drum and/or rattle (if you have one), a small bag of M&M candies (caramel or not is dealer’s choice!), a lit candle or incense to help create sacred space, and a writing utensil and notebook. Optional items include headphones (for a potentially-enhanced listening experience), and any further sacred items that you wish to bring. Please attend from a comfortable place in which you are unlikely to be disturbed.
